Caroline and I unpack more of the psychology that underpins why we don’t say someone is “houseless”, we say they are “homeless”. There is enormous psychological power that lies dormant and unnoticed, simply in the very act of curating the spaces where we live.
Caroline tartly points out that for many centuries now, in many cultures, the act of cleaning and taking care of the home has been diminished and minimized. Instead, she draws out how these very activities can boost and uplift our wellbeing, sense of identity, safety and security.
