The Los Angeles Angels surrendered another series in the young 2024 season, this time to the Tampa Bay Rays. The rubber match occurred on Wednesday afternoon with Jose Soriano making his first big-league start. Although the Angels had their chances, there were too many miscues and missed opportunities in this one to make the difference, as a wild pitch that had Soriano and Matt Thaiss scrambling for the ball caused two runs to score, and Jo Adell had a mental lapse trying to steal 2nd base.
