First, the plaintiff says she and the defendant agreed to share the cost of a fence on property they shared. She says the defendant changed her mind after the work had already started and now refuses to pay her portion. The plaintiff is suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says she agreed to split the cost if the fence was nice on both sides, but that’s not what happened. She says she won’t pay for an ugly fence. Then, the plaintiff says he rented space on the defendant’s property to store his lawn mower, but a tree fell on it and damaged it. He asked the defendant to make a claim on her insurance, but she refused, so he’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff moved the mower from its original spot and it wasn’t on her property when the tree hit it. She denies owing anything.
