International Women's Day Special

An Oscar For Arnold

That's right, the episode that nobody requested is finally here! To celebrate International Women's Day, your two favorite male podcast hosts decided to do an episode that's for the girlies. Long overdue, right?

Now, you may be wondering how a podcast about Austrian bodybuilder, actor, and governor Arnold Schwarzenegger could possibly do an episode dedicated to women. Trust us, we struggled with that question too. But we finally found a theme that we think satisfies both our desire to honor women and our deep love of Arnie. In this episode, the boys sit down to recast Arnold's most iconic roles with female actors in his place. They look at famous Arnold films such as True Lies, Total Recall, and Jingle All the Way and discuss which famous actress would do the best job filling Arnold's large shoes. Could Angelina Jolie play the Terminator? Could Nicole Kidman play off Danny DeVito in Twins? Could Margo Martindale kill the Predator? These are the important questions that are answered on An Oscar For Arnold's International Women's Day Special.

Our opening segment has also been mixed up for International Women's Day, as Arnold in a Famous Role now looks specifically at roles that won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. Which means the boys imagine Arnold replacing Renee Zellweger in 2019's "Judy," where he would be taking on the role of the legendary Judy Garland. Could he do it with poise and nuance? It doesn't matter, because he wouldn't win an Oscar for that due to the sheer audacity of the concept. They look at another performance too, but I won't even bother writing about it in this description because it just ain't gonna pull any viewers and I already forgot what the movie was called.
