Tate Martell was adamant that he would stay at Ohio State and compete for the starting quarterback job, even if Justin Fields ended up transferring to OSU.
Well, Fields did end up transferring to OSU, and now it's Martell who could be on the way out.
It came to light on Thursday that Martell is in the NCAA's transfer portal. Does this mean Ohio State head coach Ryan Day had a heart-to-heart with Martell (read: told Martell that Fields was going to be the starter), which led to Martell changing his mind?
Also, what can be expected of Fields in 2019 if he in fact the Buckeyes' starting QB?
On the coaching front, is it a surprise that Marcus Freeman turned down Day's offer to be Ohio State's linebackers coach?
Jonah Booker drops by for his usual Friday visit for all of that and more.
