The Los Angeles Angels took 1 game out of 3 from the Boston Red Sox this weekend, as the Halos celebrated their home opener Friday night by mounting a nice comeback, only to lose the lead and fall 8-6. while the Angels had enough offense to win Friday night if not for Jose Soriano's struggles, Saturday and Sunday were different stories. The Angels were able to take advantage of the Red Sox defensive issues and win 2-1 behind a terrific Reid Detmers start, but on Sunday, a lack of offense and situational hitting cost them badly after Chase Silseth surrendered 3 solo home runs and the "garbage time" bullpen arms couldn't keep it close.
