Ep. 77 - Prioritizing Mental Health To Thrive In Motherhood with Christine Anastasia
Motherhood can be so beautiful and also so overwhelming and consuming. Most moms I've talked to have experienced losing their sense of self and battled with figuring out how to care for their family as well as themselves. While majority of our generation didn't grow up with an example of how to do that, we are now trying to figure out our way of doing things so that we can balance motherhood with our womanhood. In this episode, I chat with Christine Anastasia to discuss why moms need to prioritize their mental health. Christine is a Master Certified Life Coach and a young working parent. She is a mom of three and her coaching services and group programs help new moms and busy moms juggling work and raising a young family.  At their core, she believes they want to be the best versions of themselves. She helps moms prioritize their well-being in motherhood so they can thrive.  During the episode, Christine and I dive into: the importance of prioritizing mental health to thrive as a mombreaking generational patterns and societal expectationsraising awareness around mental health in motherhood Love what you've heard and want to learn more? However, did you know there's a style of parenting that goes beyond conscious parenting? I sure didn't until I chatted with this week's guest, Cara Tyrrell. When you're raised by a mom whose self care was being selfless and giving all that she was to her family, it's challenging to know how to take care of ourselves. Ep. 68 - Two Types of Conflict

Ep. 68 - Two Types of Conflict
Communication can be hard and conflict is not fun. To most of us, it feels like a waste of time, something we'd rather avoid having to experience because it doesn't feel good at all. It's emotionally draining, it's uncomfortable, and then you have to get over that awkward stage between not being ok as a couple and being ok again. As a mom, it already seems like there isn't enough time in the day for just the normal day to day stuff so we definitely don't have the time to have arguments with our spouse. But when conflict is done the right way, it can actually save you time because it can prevent future arguments from happening. However, in order to do that you've got to know the two types of conflict there are and see which kind you're engaging in majority of the time so you can start fighting the right way - the way that benefits your relationship. In this week's episode of The Marriage & Motherhood Podcast, I share: The two types of conflictHow to tell which type you regularly experience with your spouse Thank you for listening!   If you enjoyed this episode, share it with someone you know would benefit from listening to this too and remember to rate and review the show!   If you love this show, then you'll love and want to join my free private Facebook community Marriage & Motherhood.
