Hello and welcome to Pop Culture Redemption, a show that is dedicated to helping the church have a better vision of God at work in pop culture. Today, we dive into the fourth installment of Despicable Me, released earlier this year in theaters and now streaming on Peacock. You’ll find that much of our conversation today revolves around the critical nature of love, how God loves us, and how we are to love God and others.
Then, we’re trying out a new segment idea today. There’s a small movie out now called ‘Wicked,’ and if you didn’t know, it’s kind of a big deal. And I could not wait until the next full podcast to talk about this movie. So I got home, grabbed a camera, set up a mic, and had a great instant reaction conversation in the front seat of my vehicle with my wonderful sister, Rachel Gibson, on all things Wicked! She’s awesome, and we had a great chat about Jesus and the movie Wicked.
