Black Hole

A black hole is a singularity.

In physics this is a place were the laws of physics (for example gravity, sub-atomic forces, electromagnetism and time) break down and change.

On the other side of the singularity there are new and different laws of physics, reality and everything. Quantum physics gives us some understanding of this. We do not want to make too much of this but there is has a useful analogy between “death and resurrection” in Christ and what an astronaut experiences during a singularity.

Salvation is a journey from one reality (Adam) to a completely different one (Christ, the Last Adam).

The essential point of salvation is that through the Cross of Christ, we receive "death to the first Adam" and "resurrection into the Last Adam".

This is spiritual and effectively a mystery.  Salvation though Christ's Cross is "foolishness" to the natural Man (the First Adam and all his descendants).

Transformation and Glorification

It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.44. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.45. And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.46. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.47. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.48. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.49. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.51. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.1 Corinthians 15:43-52

Many things we value must be reconstituted if we want to be spiritual.

One obvious example, is that sentimental love and family affection, is not first on Jesus list of priorities.  Our understanding of the love is very different than what Jesus' in the Spirit is.

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.38. “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.39. “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

“Learning Christ” takes us into the Spirit

But you have not so learned Christ,21. if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:22. that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,23. and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Ephesians 4:20-23

Death is scary and the resurrection is an entirely new reality that we do not instinctively know understand or even love. We must grow into this new reality and just like an astronaut going through a black hole the laws of physics and the reality, navigation and life as we know it, ends.

A new life starts that the Bible says is: ”Much more” but make no mistake it is scary and takes all the faith we have.

Sadly, few make the journey despite apparent religious efforts

PS: It’s a sad and disturbing to realize that the majority of “Christians” don’t understand or accept this trip. Many pseudo-Christians have the notion that Jesus made the trip on our behalf and we can carry on "in Adam" with only minor behavior modification and still be eligible for the spiritual and eternal blessings. This is manifestly, not true.
