About Coach Tim Kyrkostas

Tim enters his 4th season with the Islanders Hockey Club this season bringing to the Club a wealth of hockey knowledge and experience. During the years 2010 - 2016 Tim served as the Director of Hockey Operations for the Palm Beach Blackhawks Youth Travel Hockey Program & The Palm Beach Jr. Hawks USPHL program where he led the Hawks USPHL Elite Team to a 75-32-20 record over the last three seasons.  Coach Kyrkostas was a member of the 1996 NY Apple Core Junior B National Championship team and a member of the 2000 Norwich University Division III NCAA National Championship team from there was invited and participated in the Washington Capitals Rookie Camp in 2002.

Coaching & Director Experience

  • Skating & Skills Coach for the Florida Panthers, NHL 2006 season.
  • Served as a Director of the South Florida Golden Wolves Travel Hockey Program (2007-2009)
  • Previously coached the Florida Alliance U16 AAA & U18 AAA teams as well as serving as an assistant coach for the Florida Alliance 04’ PW AAA Elite Team which was the #1 ranked AAA Elite Team (2014-2015)

  • Premier Record  2016-Present: 128 wins- 30 losses- 14 OTL
  • NCDC Record to date: 31 wins- 18 losses - 4 OTL

Tim has built a solid reputation for working hard, caring for all of his players and developing some outstanding players. Tim's alumni include Flyers Defenseman – Shane Gostisbehere, Yale National Champion Trent Ruffolo & NHL Top 20 pick in 2016 Jakob Chychrun.
