Ep 3: CPT Juliette Jacobi - Mind-Body Connection
Captain (CPT) Juliette Jacobi is the 111th Military Intelligence (MI) Brigade's (BDE) Mental and Cognitive readiness program director, providing education and instruction to optimize the readiness of over 4000 Soldiers. CPT Jacobi maintains a collaborative relationship with the local Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation departments, monitoring unit personnel's physical and mental health. She previously served as an Officer in Charge (OIC) of Inpatient Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Occupational Therapy services at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Captain Jacobi is an active member of the Army Occupational Therapy Cabinets of Behavioral Health and Human Performance Optimization, seeking to maintain up-to-date knowledge and best practices in her clinical and administrative responsibilities. RESOURCES: The CBT-i coach app guides users through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving their sleep environments. It provides a structured program that teaches strategies proven to improve sleep and help alleviate symptoms of insomnia. Mindfulness Coach: The Mindfulness App helps users to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. Scientific research proves that regular practice for 20 minutes a day brings desired effects such as improved concentration, relationships, resiliency, emotion management, and anxiety reduction. This app includes various practices that last from 1-30 minutes. Breathe2Relax: Breathe2Relax is a portable stress management tool. This app provides users with hands-on diaphragmatic breathing exercise. Breathing exercises has been documented to decrease the body’s ‘fight or flight’ stress response and help with mood stabilization, anger control, and anxiety management.

MAJ Roy Camacho is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) currently serving as the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade Surgeon as well as the Holistic Health and Fitness Lead and Injury Control Director. Prior to assuming this position, he completed a one-year competitive and intensive Long Term Health Education Training (LTHET) program through Army-Baylor and obtained a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA). MAJ Camacho’s operational deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield). MAJ Camacho’s previous assignments include: Assistant Chief, Physical Performance Service Line, Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH), Camp Humphreys, Korea; Chief, Physical Therapy, BDAACH, Camp Humphreys, Korea; Brigade Physical Therapist, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; Health Services Support Officer (HSSO), 3rd Brigade Support Battalion (BSB), 25th Infantry Division (ID), Schofield Barracks, Hawai’i; Executive Officer, Charlie Company, 3rd BSB, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawai’i; Medical Platoon Leader, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th ID, Schofield Barracks, Hawai’i. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedics and holds numerous clinical certifications.
