This episode of “Voices from the Americas” a podcast series presented by the Organization of American States (OAS) was recorded within the framework of the Sixth Inter-American Week for People of African Descent of the Americas, observed this year under the theme "Fighting slavery's legacy of racism through transformative education in the Americas."
Titled "Blockchain technology: a transformative technology for persons of African descent" the episode analyzes the possibilities for inclusion and wealth-creation presented by transformative technologies such as blockchain. The discussion is moderated by His Excellency Ambassador Anthony Phillips-Spencer, the Permanent Representative of Trinidad and Tobago to the OAS, and features panelists including Dr. Maurice McNaughton, Director of the Centre for Innovation at the Mona School of Business and Management at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, Ms. Kenthia Roberts, an undergraduate researcher from Howard University, and from The Bahamas, Ms. Davinia Bain, the Co-Founder of Crypto Isle.
