In this episode, I am talking about the undescended or cryptorchid testicle.
The undescended testicle is a testicle that stops along its normal path of embryologic descent from the abdomen and does not descended in to the scrotum. The cryptorchid testicle is one that not only has not descended into the scrotum but migrates to and lies in an alternate position, seen primarily in 5 sites: perineal, femoral canal, superficial inguinal ring, suprapubic, and opposite scrotum.
