Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me.
My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught Psalms 55:1-2
I would flee far away and stay in the desert; I would hurry to my place of shelter,

Have you ever noticed, trusting is easier when everything is going well? I've been going through some stress and concerns recently and I have to admit, I haven't been as confident and at peace as I'd like to be. In fact, I've been sleeping poorly and walking around with a stomach full of butterflies.
I am so grateful for the example of David because in him, I can see so much of me! Like him, I plead with God to hear my prayer. Like him, I'd much rather flee or runaway. And then, like him, I try cast my cares and rest in Him and allow Him to sustain me.
