A Deep Dive Into The Phillies Offseason (PST Episode 596)
The Philadelphia Phillies are in the midst of their offseason and, obviously, want to remain competitive in 2025 within the National League. What talent should they be looking at to help their roster and postseason chances as we look to the new season. This week, Eric Moratelli, content contributor at Fansided’s ThatBallsOuttaHere.com, joined us for deep dive into this Phillies offseason. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys talked about the drama swirling around the Eagles, and also how their playoff seeding may look over the next few weeks as we gear up for the playoffs.(Approx. 5:40)From there, the guys dove into Sixers talk now that Joel Embiid is back on the court. Can they actually make a push for the playoffs and could this be deemed a successful season? (Approx. 17:25)The guys also discussed a bunch of MLB and Phillies storylines during this offseason: the Mets signing of Juan Soto, Dick Allen is finally in the Hall of Fame, and the Phillies signed bullpen arm Jordan Romano. (Approx. 26:40)On the Table this week, Eric Moratelli from That Balls Outta Here joined us to discuss this Phillies offseason and how this team is looking to build as 2025 is around the corner. Is the Alec Bohm market still there for the Phillies? Thoughts about what the starting rotation may look like. What might the outfield look like next season? All of this and much more on the Table this week! Eagles vs. Panthers Postgame Show, Week 14
Week 14 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Carolina Panthers at The Linc by a score of 22-16. It was a nail biter or a game for sure as the Eagles allowed the Panthers to stay in this game all the way up to the end of the fourth quarter. Most notably, coming out of this game was Saquon Barkley breaking the all-time single-season franchise rushing record, passing LeSean McCoy’s 1,607 yards. Barkley now has 1,623 yards on the season with four games left in the regular season. He had 124 yards on the ground in this game.Jalen Hurts had one of the worst games he has had in quite some time. Missing wide open receivers has been an ongoing theme, but in this game those misses were rather egregious. When A.J. Brown is only targeted four times, there’s an issue.Vic Fangio’s defense played the ol’ bend but don’t break defense today as they let the Panthers offense convert a number of third downs, and allowed Bryce Young to successfully escape the pocket a number times. However, the pass rush was disruptive, as were the linebackers. The secondary an up and down game, but the game ball has to go to C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Darius Slay for their defensive prowess throughout much of the game. Also, what happens to Jake Elliott from here as he's 0-5 on the season from 50+. It's an issue. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

The Eagles Are Super Bowl Contenders (PST Episode 595)
The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl contenders. It’s that simple. This team has been dominating and with a decisive win last week against the Ravens in their house, the Eagles appear on their way for a true postseason run. This week, Brandon Lee Gowton - better known as BLG - from BleedingGreenNation.com joined us for a deep dive into this team, what we’ve been seeing and what these new expectations look like for us fans. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys began their discussion about Major League Baseball’s and Rob Manfred’s idea about a “Golden At-Bat” rule. Plus, should robo umps make it to the big leagues? (Approx. 6:00)From there, the guys dove into some Philadelphia Union talk as this team is going to look much different in 2025. (Approx. 21:30)Are the Flyers getting back to their 2023-2024 season form? (Approx. 29:30)The guys also got into some College Football Playoff Bracket talk as we’re starting to get a better picture of who the 12 teams may be. (Approx. 37:40)The Eagles proved a lot in their matchup against the Ravens this past week. They appear to be for real. (Approx. 44:10)On the Table this week, Brandon Lee Gowton from Bleeding Green Nation joined us to discuss this Eagles team on both offense and defense. Should we be giving Vic Fangio even more credit for coaching the No. 1 defense in the league? How has the pass rush come alive? What Jalen Hurts’ detractors need to understand about his style of play. What should we make of the tight end position moving forward? All of this and much more on the Table this week! Eagles vs. Ravens Postgame Show, Week 13
Week 13 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Baltimore Ravens down at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore by a score of 24-19. This was a game of running back versus running back, and Saquon Barkley took the running back torch from this game, and is arguably now the front-runner for the NFL’s MVP award. However, the Eagles defense was at the forefront of this game holding the Ravens offense to only 12 points throughout much of the game until the Ravens scored a touchdown in garbage time with less than 20 seconds left in the game. Vic Fangio has this defense playing at a ridiculously high level.Jalen Hurts and the passing game, yet again, were not the focus of the game plan. In fact, Hurts didn’t play well. It was a knock-down drag-out game as the Eagles were at times able to drive the ball well, and then other times saw a number of 3-and-outs in a row. What's interesting about this game is what might have happened if Justin Tucker didn't miss three kicks - two FGs and one extra point? As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. It was great to have our friend of the pod Matt Rogers from The Honorable Mention Podcast join us this week for our analysis.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

Being Thankful For The Flyers (PST Episode 594)
The Philadelphia Flyers are playing some fun hockey as of late. While expectations for the season are certainly not through the roof, this team is seeing what its young, and veteran, talent has been able to do on the ice this season. What does it all mean for the rebuild? This week, Daniel Esche from BrotherlyPuck.com joined us for dive into the Flyers, how they’ve been performing and how the rebuild is looking. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys began their discussion this week on how the MLB offseason has been going as the Dodgers signed Blake Snell. Plus, where might Jeff Hoffman’s career go now that he’s indicated he’d like to be a starting pitcher again? And will the Phillies try to acquire Garrett Crochet from the White Sox? (Approx. 9:55)From there, the guys dove into a discussion about Eagles DE Brandon Graham and how we may have seen his last game as a pro football player this past week after sustaining an injury. Should there be concerns about the pass rush moving forward? (Approx. 27:50)The guys then got into some Sixers talk and asked the question: is it really tank time for the Sixers as they're 14th in the Eastern Conference?? (Approx. 38:05)On the Table this week, Daniel Esche from Brotherly Puck joined us for an in-depth discussion about the Flyers’ season, the rebuild and a bunch of storylines we’re following. A discussion about where the lines are at and if more “tinkering” needs to be done. Travis Sanheim is playing the best hockey of his career. How did this happen as he appeared out the door just two years ago? Matvei Michkov continues to impress and is an electric hockey player already. What does the trade market look like for the Flyers? All of this and much more on the Table this week! Eagles vs. Rams Postgame Show, Week 12
Week 12 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Los Angeles Rams down at SoFi Stadium in L.A. by a score of 37-20. Saquon Barkley took the game of football to another level in this matchup. 255 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. Plus, he caught four balls for 47 yards. That’s 302 total yards in this game. As equally important, he could not have had this kind of game if it wasn’t for the offensive line who played their most dominant football so far this season.Jalen Hurts and the passing game, yet again, were not the focus of the game plan. This Eagles offense is a rush-first scheme, and it’s great how head coach Nick Sirianni has adapted to this philosophy. The Eagles defense and Vic Fangio were running on all cylinders. 5 sacks, 8 tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback hits, and 7 passes defended. They put on a defensive clinic in L.A.As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. It was great to have our friend of the pod Josh Shuster from philadelphiasoccernow.com join us this week for our analysis.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

A Doomed Sixers Season (PST Episode 593)
The Philadelphia 76ers not only have the worst start in franchise history over the past decade, but there’s drama filled with this team behind the scenes. Can this team dig out from the hole they’ve placed themselves into? This week, Harrison Grimm from SB Nation’s LibertyBallers.com joined us for a great discussion about the team. But first, the guys reflected on their NFL predictions right off the bat, going through their division and wild card predictions before the season started. (Approx. 5:40)From there, the guys talked about the Eagles remaining schedule and whether or not they can get the top No. 1 seed in the NFC. (Approx. 21:20)The guys then got into some MLB Hall of Fame talk as the new ballot was released this week. Who should get into the Hall of Fame in 2025? (Approx. 29:35)They also dove into the Sixers debacle of a season, the drama behind the scenes with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and head coach Nick Nurse. (Approx. 38:10)On the Table this week, Harrison Grimm from Liberty Ballers joined us for an in-depth discussion about the Sixers, the drama behind the scenes, and what the future leadership of this team looks like. Can Nurse be effective for this team? Will the team gain any consistency when Embiid, Maxey, and Paul George start playing together over time? Is there a bright spot on the team? All of this and much more on the Table this week! Eagles vs. Commanders Postgame Show, Week 11
Week 11 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Washington Commanders down at The Linc in Philly by a score of 26-18. This was the game that was to tell us more about the Eagles and the Commanders as two of the top teams in the NFC East and NFC in general. From the start, both teams looked like they were coming off a short week, which they were. The Eagles certainly did not play a great offensive game. They found ways to win late in the game mainly because of one Saquon Barkley.Jalen Hurts, once again, had a “tale of two halves” game against the Commanders defense. While us fans are glad he did not turn the ball over, it wasn’t his best game this season. The defense was absolutely dominant, once again, this week. The secondary held star wide receiver Terry McLaurin to only 2 targets for a grand total of 10 yards. Commanders star quarterback, Jayden Daniels, had a very underwhelming perfornance in front of the Eagles fans at The Linc. Yet again, the Eagles defense is holding the rushing attack to under 100 yards. Vic Fangio has this unit heading in the right direction. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. It was great to have our friend of the pod Matt Rogers from the Honorable Mention podcast join us this week for some analysis.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
