2019 Philadelphia Phillies Season Preview (PST Show #306)

The Phillies season is here! Expectations are hight for this ball club as Bryce Harper, Jean Segura, Rhys Hoskins and Co. start the season against the Braves. This week, it's our 2019 Philadelphia Phillies preview! John Stolnis, writer and contributor at TheGoodPhight.com and host of the Hittin' Season podcast joined us to dissect the team and what we can expect this coming season. It's an awesome interview you won't want to miss!

But first, we talked about the need to get his Sixers postseason here sooner rather than later. It's been a rough couple of games recently, and we discussed our concerns were during this end of the NBA season. (5:55)

Then we dove into our NCAA Tournament brackets, and also interviewed Joe Falchetti from SafestBettingSites.com and discussed what we can expect from the teams that remain in the tournament. (13:40)

This week on the Highbrow Segment we asked the question, are the Eagles becoming too old based on their offseason signings and re-signings? Also, is Howie Roseman going to the well once too many times with how he approaches the team with this "older veteran-based strategy". It's a narrative we're hearing more within Eagles Nation. (24:40)

We have a great list this week for our Lowbrow Segment. We discussed our top-3 favorite all-time non-Philly athletes. (33:55)

What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an in-depth interview with John Stolnis from The Good Phight and Hittin' Season podcast followed by our 2019 Philadelphia Phillies season predictions. With 8 players expected to stashed in the bullpen, backup infielders will be limited. So how will this affect Scott Kingery's development this season? From there, John talked to us about what kind of productivity we'll see from Odubel Herrera this year. What kind of approach should Gabe Kapler take in terms of communicating with his players during his sophomore year as manager? How truly weak and strong is this Phillies starting rotation? All of this, and much more this week during our Phillies season preview! (56:25)
