What Does "Blessed are the poor in spirit" Mean? なんて幸せ者なんだ!- Too Blessed to Stress
In this message Ps Noboru talks about how we are too blessed to stress in these 2 points: (Matthew 5:1-3 NLT) One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. His disciples gathered around him, (2) and he began to teach them.(3) “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. (Mark 10:17-22 NLT)  As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (18) “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. (19) But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’” (20) “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.” (21) Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”(22) At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions. 1.感謝の心を取り戻す Come Back to Thankfulness (1テサロニケ5:17-18 ERV訳) 絶えず祈って! (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 NLT) Never stop praying. (18) Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 8:5-6 NLT) There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. (6) But for us,there is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live. 2. Grow in Your Heart -How to Do より How to Be を大切に! (1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT) Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Refresh Others and be Refreshed!
(English) In this message Ps Richard talks about refreshing others and being refreshed in these 3 points: (Proverbs 11:25 NLT) The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. Be Refreshed - Receive from Jesus (Acts 22:12-13 NLT) A man named Ananias lived there. He was a godly man, deeply devoted to the law, and well regarded by all the Jews of Damascus. (13) He came and stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And that very moment I could see him! (Acts 9:10 NLT) Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord!” he replied. Refresh Others - Live Generously and Sacrificially (Acts 9:11-15 NLT) The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. (12) I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.” (13) “But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem! (14) And he is authorized by the leading priests to arrest everyone who calls upon your name.” (15) But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. (16) And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.” 1.Refreshing Others is an Adventure (Acts 9:17-19 NLT) So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”(18) Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized. (19) Afterward he ate some food and regained his strength. Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days. 2.Refreshing Others Gives Us Purpose 3.Refreshing Others Is Rewarded (Matthew 10:42 NLT) And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

Live a life of Purpose and Mission from Jesus
In this message Ps Tasuke talks about living a life of purpose and mission from Jesus in these 2 points: (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)  For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 1. God has Given Everyone a Purpose and a Mission (Matthew 28:16-20 NLT) Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. (17) When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! (18) Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. (19) Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (20) Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” 2. Live Out Your Mission Together with the Church (Acts 2:42-47 NLT) All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (43) A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. (44) And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. (45) They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. (46) They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— (47) all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

Do you Believe in the Resurrection of Jesus? I do - it changed my life!
(English) In this message Ps Rod talks about the resurrection of Jesus in these 5 points: (1 Corinthians 15:14 NIV) And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith. 1. What Happened on the Friday? (John 19:30 NIV) It is finished.  2. What Happened Between the Cross and the Resurrection? (Luke 23:42-43 NIV) Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” (43) Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Revelation 1:18 NIV) I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. 3. What Happened Early Sunday Morning? (John 20:1-18) Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. (2) So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” (3) So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. (4) Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. (5) He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. (6) Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, (7) as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. (8) Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (9) (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) (10) Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.(11) Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb (12) and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. (13) They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” (14) At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. (15) He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” (16) Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). (17) Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (18) Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. 4. What did Jesus do on the Sunday? (1 Corinthians 15:3-8NIV) For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, (4) that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (5) and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. (6) After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. (7) Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, (8) and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. Two Things For Us Who Believe: 1. “No death” (1 Corinthians 15:55-56 NIV) “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 2. "Same Power” (Ephesians 1:19-20 NIV) and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,

It is Finished! - The Power of The Cross
(English) In this message Ps Lewis talks about the power of the cross in these 2 points: (1 John 3:16 NLT) We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. (Romans 3:23 ERV) All have sinned and are not good enough to share God's divine greatness. (John 19:6-7 ERV) When the leading priests and the Jewish guards saw Jesus they shouted, "Kill him on a cross! Kill him on a cross!" But Pilate answered, "You take him and nail him to a cross yourselves. I find nothing I can charge him with." (7) The Jewish leaders answered, "We have a law that says he must die, because he said he is the Son of God." (John 19:17-18 ERV) He carried his own cross to a place called "The Place of the Skull." (In Aramaic the name of this place is "Golgotha.") (18) There they nailed Jesus to the cross. They also nailed two other men to crosses. They put them on each side of Jesus with him in the middle. (John 19:28-30 ERV) Later, Jesus knew that everything had been done. To make the Scriptures come true he said, "I am thirsty." (29) There was a jar full of sour wine there, so the soldiers soaked a sponge in it. They put the sponge on a branch of a hyssop plant and lifted it to Jesus' mouth. (30) When he tasted the wine, he said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head and died. 1.The Power ‭‭(Colossians‬ ‭1:21-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬) This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. (22) Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. (23) But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.” 2.It Is Finished!!! (Galatians 2:20 NLT) My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me

Communion
(English) In this message Ps Monty talks about the communion. (Matthew 26:26-28 NLT)  As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.” (27) And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, (28) for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many. (Exodus 12:28-30 NLT) So the people of Israel did just as the Lord had commanded through Moses and Aaron. (29) And that night at midnight, the Lord struck down all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn son of the prisoner in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. (30) Pharaoh and all his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died. (Exodus 12:31-33 NLT)  Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron during the night. “Get out!” he ordered. “Leave my people—and take the rest of the Israelites with you! Go and worship the Lord as you have requested. (32) Take your flocks and herds, as you said, and be gone. Go, but bless me as you leave.” (33) All the Egyptians urged the people of Israel to get out of the land as quickly as possible, for they thought, “We will all die!” (Exodus 12:42 NLT) On this night the Lord kept his promise to bring his people out of the land of Egypt. So this night belongs to him, and it must be commemorated every year by all the Israelites, from generation to generation. (John 1:29 NLT) The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

(Luke 22:14-20 NLT) When the time came, Jesus and the apostles sat down together at the table. (15) Jesus said, “I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins. (16) For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.” (17) Then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. (18) For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.” (19) He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (20) After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you. Passover Meal = Celebrating Salvation & a Time To Give Thanks 1. Believe in the Healing of Jesus (Matthew 8:17 NLT) This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” 2. Remembering Forgiveness and Be Thankful (Psalm 103:1-3 NLT) Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Re-Stored in Any Situation
(English) In this message Ps Monty talks about how we can be restored by God in any situation in these 3 points: (Acts 16:16-18 NIV) Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.(17) She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.”(18) She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her. 1.The Slave Girl - Physical Restoration (Acts 16:19-24 NIV) When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities.(20) They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar (21) by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.”(22) The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. (23) After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.(24) When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. We are all here!”(29) The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.(30) He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (31) They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”(32) Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. (33) At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized.(34) The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household. 3.The Jailer - Spiritual Restoration

Re-Stored in Any Situation -
In this message Ps Monty talks about how we can be restored by God in any situation in these 3 points: (Acts 16:16-18 NIV) Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. (Acts 16:25-26 NIV) About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.(26) Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 2.Paul and Silas- Situational Restoration (Acts 16:27-34 NIV) The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.(28) But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! (34)...

Restore: Strengthened in the Tough Times -
In this message Ps Lewis talks about how to be strengthened in tough times in these 4 points: (1 Peter 5:10 ESV) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (Acts 16:22-28 ERV) When the jailer heard this special order, he put Paul and Silas far inside the jail and bound their feet between large blocks of wood. (25) About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. (26) Suddenly there was an earthquake so strong that it shook the foundation of the jail. All the doors of the jail opened, and the chains on all the prisoners fell off. (27) The jailer woke up and saw that the jail doors were open. He thought that the prisoners had already escaped, so he got his sword and was ready to kill himself. (28) But Paul shouted, "Don't hurt yourself! We are all here!” (Acts 16:32-34 ERV) So Paul and Silas told the message of the Lord to the jailer and all the people who lived in his house. (33) It was late at night, but the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Then the jailer and all his people were baptized. (34) After this the jailer took Paul and Silas home and gave them some food. All the people were very happy because they now believed in God. 1. Keep Looking to Jesus  イエスを見続けよう 2.Stay in Faith-Filled Community 信仰溢れるコミュニティーに居続けよう 3.Hold Your Integrity 誠実で居続けよう 4.Stay on Mission 使命を握りしめ続ける (1 Corinthians 10:13 ERV) The only temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.

Jesus is With You in The Fire
(English) In this message Ps Rod talks about how Jesus is with you even in the fire in these 3 points: (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV) For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Isaiah 43:2 NIV) When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 7:9 NIV) The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all. (1 Peter 5:10 NIV) And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. Daniel’s 3 Friends In the Fire 3 Points & Questions 3 Friends in Trouble Q: Do bad things happen to good people? (Daniel 3:1 NIV) King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, sixty cubits high and six cubits wide, and set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. (Daniel 3:4-6 NIV) Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “Nations and peoples of every language, this is what you are commanded to do:As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.” (Daniel 3:8 NIV) At this time some astrologers came forward and denounced the Jews. (Daniel 3:12 NIV) But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego—who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.” 3 Friends Stand Up to the Fire Q: What do we do in the moment of fire? (Daniel 3:16-19 NIV) Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 3 Friends Joined by “The Son of God” Q: Is Jesus really there in the fire with us? (Daniel 3:24-30 NIV) Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.” Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.” Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province...

Restore: God will send a friend
In this message Ps Tasuke talks about how God sends a friend to restore in these 4 points: (1Peter 5:10 NLT) In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 1. (Acts 9:3-9 NLT) As he was approaching Damascus on this mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him.(4) He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”(5) “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! (6) Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”(7) The men with Saul stood speechless, for they heard the sound of someone’s voice but saw no one! (8) Saul picked himself up off the ground, but when he opened his eyes he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. (9) He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. 2. (Acts 9:10-16 NLT) Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord!” he replied.(11) The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.(12) I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.”(13) “But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem! (14) And he is authorized by the leading priests to arrest everyone who calls upon your name.” (15) But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. (16) And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.” 3. Restored and Given New Vision (Acts 9:17-20 NLT) So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”(18) Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.(19) Afterward he ate some food and regained his strength. Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days.(20) And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God!”

Restore: From Prisoner to Prime Minister
(English) In this message Ps Adrian talks about how God restore us in these 5 points: (1 Peter 5:10 TPT) And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.  (John 16:33 NLT) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. (Romans 8:28 TPT) And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Genesis 39:1-5 NLT) When Joseph was taken to Egypt by the Ishmaelite traders, he was purchased by Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. Potiphar was captain of the guard for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. (2) The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. (3) Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. (4) This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. (5) From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.  (Genesis 39:19-23 NLT) Potiphar was furious when he heard his wife’s story about how Joseph had treated her. (20) So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained. (21) But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. (22) Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. (23) The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed. (Genesis 40:12-15 NLT) ”This is what the dream means,” Joseph said. “The three branches represent three days. (13) Within three days Pharaoh will lift you up and restore you to your position as his chief cup-bearer. (14) And please remember me and do me a favor when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh, so he might let me out of this place. (15) For I was kidnapped from my homeland, the land of the Hebrews, and now I’m here in prison, but I did nothing to deserve it.”  (Genesis 40:23 NLT) Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer, however, forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought. (Genesis 41:14-16 NLT) Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was quickly brought from the prison. After he shaved and changed his clothes, he went in and stood before Pharaoh. (15) Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.” (16) “It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”  (Genesis 41:37-41 NLT) Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. (38) So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?” (39) Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. (40) You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.” (41) Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt.”  (Genesis 45:5-8 NLT) But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place.
