(1ペテロ5:10 JCB) キリストにあって、あふれるほど恵みを注いでくださる神は、しばらくの苦しみのあとで、あなたがたに永遠の栄光を与えてくださいます。神ご自身があなたがたを力づけ、しっかり立たせ、強めてくださいます。

(Acts 16:22-28 ERV) When the jailer heard this special order, he put Paul and Silas far inside the jail and bound their feet between large blocks of wood. (25) About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. (26) Suddenly there was an earthquake so strong that it shook the foundation of the jail. All the doors of the jail opened, and the chains on all the prisoners fell off. (27) The jailer woke up and saw that the jail doors were open. He thought that the prisoners had already escaped, so he got his sword and was ready to kill himself. (28) But Paul shouted, "Don't hurt yourself! We are all here!”

(使徒16:22-28 JCB) たちまち広場は、二人に反感をいだく人たちでいっぱいになりました。そこで長官たちは、二人を裸にし、むちで打つように命じました。(23) ビュッビュッと何度もむちが振り下ろされ、二人の背中から血がしたたり落ちました。そして二人は、牢に放り込まれました。「こいつらを逃がしでもしたら命はないものと思え」と脅された看守は、(24) 二人を奥の牢に入れ、厳重に足かせをかけました。(25) 真夜中ごろ、パウロとシラスは、主に祈ったり、賛美歌をうたったりしていました。ほかの囚人たちもじっと聞き入っています。その時です。(26) 突然、大地震が起こりました。牢獄は土台からぐらぐら揺れ動き、戸という戸は開き、囚人たちの鎖もはずれてしまいました。 (27) 看守が目を覚ますと、戸が全部開いています。看守は、てっきり囚人がみな脱走したものと思い、もうだめだとばかり、剣を抜いて自殺しようとしました。(28) その瞬間、パウロが叫びました。「早まるな！ 全員ここにいる！」

(Acts 16:32-34 ERV) So Paul and Silas told the message of the Lord to the jailer and all the people who lived in his house. (33) It was late at night, but the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Then the jailer and all his people were baptized. (34) After this the jailer took Paul and Silas home and gave them some food. All the people were very happy because they now believed in God.

(使徒16:32-34 JCB) こうして二人は、看守とその家の者たち全員に、主のことばを伝えたのです。(33) 看守は二人を引き取り、彼らの打ち傷をていねいに洗って手当てをしたあと、家族そろってバプテスマ（洗礼）を受けました。(34) それから、二人を自宅に案内し、食事を出してもてなし、全家族がクリスチャンになったことを心から喜び合いました。

(1 Corinthians 10:13 ERV) The only temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.

(1コリント10:13 ‭JCB‬‬) このことを覚えていてください。あなたがたの生活の中に入り込む誘惑は、別に新しいものでも、特別なものでもないということです。ほかにも多くの人たちが、あなたがたよりも先に、同じ問題にぶつかってきたのです。どんな誘惑にも抵抗するすべはあります。神様は決して、とてもたち打ちできないような誘惑や試練に会わせたりはなさいません。神様がそう約束されたのであり、その約束は必ず実行されるからです。神様は、あなたがたが誘惑や試練に忍耐強く立ち向かえるように、それから逃れる方法を教えてくださいます。
