Joe & Joe Weather Show Winter Storm Warnings Kansas East to Virginia, Severe Weather Deep South
Joe & Joe Weather Show Podcast LIVE 7PM 1/4/2025 A major winter storm is spreading snow ice and rain over a 1500 mile stretch from Kansas to Virginia. Winter Storm Warnings are posted for this area which includes Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia. Ice will fall in the southern areas of Missouri and Kentucky before a change to snow. Widespread 8 to 12 inch snow is likely. The storm will not be able to turn northward up the East Coast but it will spread some snow into areas as far north as Southern Pennsylvania and Central and Southern New Jersey. Severe weather will develop Sunday over parts of the Deep South from East Texas to near Alabama with elevated tornado risk. Very cold air will follow the storm into the Eastern and Southern US.
