My Final Episode for A While!

My Final Episode for A While!
Starting from today, I'm taking a hiatus from creating new podcast episodes.  I don't know how long this break will last, or even if I'll come back and create new episodes.  It's really up to God.  In this episode, I share my reasons for doing what I'm doing.  I think this is a good time, because the seasons are changing, and God's working out so many things in my heart, including new priorities.  One major priority is to have the space and time to write a book.   I know this seems abrupt, but I've been thinking and praying about this for a few weeks now.  When I started to record today's podcast episode, I found myself speaking what I didn't intend to say.  That happens, sometimes, when God has a different message to share through me.  If you're interested to find out why, please listen to the podcast episode.  For the time being, the completed episodes will remain.  Please feel free to listen to or review as many as you would like.  I'd  also encourage you to download episodes, so that you'll have them.   (Just know, I don't know how permanent downloaded episodes are in relationship to what happens to the podcast platform.  I also don't know how long my podcast platform will be active.)My main podcast website is thebiblemind.com/podcasts.  Regardless of what happens elsewhere, both me and the podcasts can be found at that website.   (I'll also try to find a way to upload the podcast audios to this website, apart from the podcast platform, so that no matter what happens with the platform, the episodes audios will remain on the website for as long as I have my own personal website.)I'm taking a much-needed break for various reasons I share in today's podcast episode.  I appreciate any and all who have listened to this podcast.  It's for you that I've been at it for so long!  I hope and pray that God, by His Holy Spirit, will continue to guide you into all truth!  And that I've played a small part in that process.  Be blessed in every way!Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcastYou can reach me with any comments, questions, or correspondence at theophilus0633@gmail.com.
Do We, Sometimes, Come Across as "Too Christian" to Build Rapport and Relationship with the Unbelievers in Our Lives?

Do We, Sometimes, Come Across as "Too Christian" to Build Rapport and Relationship with the Unbelievers in Our Lives?
(I'm back!  We're returning to this podcast episode, after taking a break last week.)  Today, we are taking a break from our Revelation study.  I talk about an issue that will touch the lives of most believers.  It's an  issue God has been working on in my heart and life.  I work in the marketplace, and with people who don't know God.  How do I relate to them?  How "Christian" can I be and still build a relational bridge with these people?  Or must I hide my Christianity to even give the relationship the start it needs to grow into something meaningful where my life touches their lives? How can we expect people to listen to us, if they don't know that we care, and they can't identify with us?Do we, sometimes, use our Christianity as a barrier between us and them?I've prayed about this issue, and have asked others what they think about relating to unbelieving co-workers.  It's a fine line we have to walk between gathering around the human experience and finding common ground, versus being neutralized and succumbing to the worldly pressure around us.  I speak to these issues today from a heart that's still seeking out the right answers and the right balance.  I also mention some other things, but you have to listen to the podcast to find out what they are.   It centers around how we, as believers, deal with the secular things we find ourselves drawn to from time to time.  Is it a sin to like secular things, or is God showing us something about our hearts?   And how does all of this relate to building relationships with the unbelievers we interact with on a regular basis? Revelation 24: Jesus, You Shine Brighter than the Sun! (1:16)

Revelation 24: Jesus, You Shine Brighter than the Sun! (1:16)
Today we talk about what it means for Jesus to have a countenance that shines like the sun in its strength.  Believe it or not, God has already laid out "stepping stones" of revelation of what this  means in the Old Testament.  We will explore some of these verses/passages in order to flesh out this multi-level revelation, and how it relates to our lives! In this episode, we continue to see how the Holy Spirit, Who wrote the Scriptures through human vessels, can connect dots for us in order to give us layers of revelation we may have never expected.  Listen to the podcast to learn more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.  In your relationship with God the Father, how have you mostly seen His countenance towards you?  In other words, when God the Father looks at you, what do you see in His face?  (Happiness?  Delight?  Anger?  Upset?  Disappointment?  Sadness?  Pity?  Exasperation?  Etc.)   Why do you think this is so?  Where did you pick up on this idea of God's attitude towards you?  Reflect on your perception of how God views you.  What does it say about you?  What does it say about God?2.  We discussed how God is mostly happy and delighted when He sees you.  If your perception of God from question 1 is different from this, then how will you correct your perception of God?  What verses and passages can you meditate upon to renew the spirit of your mind?  Consider how you can both receive and give a revelation of God's pleasure and delight in His sons and daughters in your interaction with others!  Moreover, His love for mankind in general.  3.  We talked about the Numbers 6 Blessing (Numbers 6:24-26) as a corollary passage to Revelation 1:16.  It's powerful!  Why do you think this passage was so important to God?  Important to the people of God?  How can having a revelation of the Numbers 6 Blessing change your life?If you've had issues with your perception of how God views you, how can meditating upon and praying the Numbers 6 Blessing over yourself and others help you?  ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Gather and meditate upon the verses/passages that illustrate the way your Father feels about you, and the delight He has on His face when He looks upon you.  Pray into those verses/passages, especially the Numbers 6 Blessing!4.  If you haven't listened to the previous podcast episodes mentioned in today's episode, take some time to go back and listen to them.  5.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 23: Jesus' Sharp Two-Edged Sword: How the Word of God Speaks and Cuts Two Ways! (1:15-16)
31-07-2022
Revelation 23: Jesus' Sharp Two-Edged Sword: How the Word of God Speaks and Cuts Two Ways! (1:15-16)
Today we'll talk about what it means for Jesus to have a two-edged sword come out of his mouth.   What are the implications for us and our study of God's word?  Jesus is the word of God made flesh, and the Bible describes the word of God as sharper than any double-edged sword.   In other words, those two edges can cut into us, and others as we wield it as believers.  Therefore, it'd benefit us to understand more about what it means for Jesus to be described this way.   Before we go into the meat of this study, I speak to a few issues that we had touched upon in previous episodes, such as EMF radiation, emergency food and water storage, and how to manage our money for potential hard times to come.  Listen to the podcast to learn more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.  What would happen in your life, if there was an emergency crisis and a food shortage (among other things) at local stores?  Consider what you have in store, and if that would last you for the time that you need.  If not, how will you prepare more practically in this area for the future?  If you've already taken steps, what can you do to be further prepared?  Take a few more steps.  Put another puzzle piece into place.   2.   We discussed in this episode how God speaks in a multitude of ways.  Each son or daughter of God can (potentially) have his or her own personal, shared language with God, based on shared symbols.  Reflect on the ways God has spoken to you throughout your history together.  Have there been repeated words, pictures, numbers, etc. that have been meaningful to you?  If so, what are they and what do they mean?  How did you know it was God speaking to you in this way?3.  Do you agree with the statement that Jesus has always spoken through parables throughout the Bible?  Why or why not?  4.  Have you ever gone on a treasure hunt through the word of God?  Maybe, God laid out a map for you and "connected the dots," so to speak, so you could better see and understand the big picture lesson.   If not, what do you think is restricting the free-flowing of the Holy Spirit to have access to your Bible study?  If so, then what can you do to sit before God again and set up similar conditions?  5.  The concepts shared in this episode are not commonly seen, taught, and/or received.  Therefore, they take time to connect to and establish in one's mind and spirit.  How can you sit with this teaching, so it can settle into your spirit?  In the future, if you catch the vision, how will you explain it to other people? ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Do a topical Bible study on the area of money and finances.  Do our society's current trends, even among believers, align with the Bible?  The safest and best place for us and our finances would be to follow biblical principles.   (If you need help, there are some great Christian resources available, in addition to Dave Ramsey.)  4.  Research ways to store water and food items for a long-term period.  Make a plan to get a two-week storage of food and water.   Follow through with the necessary steps to make it happen!5.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 22: How the Glorified Christ "in the midst" of our Churches is More Powerful than any Caesar! (1:13-15)
23-07-2022
Revelation 22: How the Glorified Christ "in the midst" of our Churches is More Powerful than any Caesar! (1:13-15)
Today we'll talk about the phrase "the son of man" and what it means to have the glorified, resurrected Jesus "in the midst" of our churches.   What are the implications?   How can this bring encouragement both to us as individuals and to our churches as a whole? We'll also talk about a possible reason why Jesus gave John the glorious revelation of His divine Personhood.  We consider the historical and spiritual contexts of John's day, and how that parallels the issues we face in our day.   For instance, as there were "Caesars" in John's day, there are "Caesars" in our day. How does seeing the revelation of the divine Personhood of Jesus Christ strengthen our faith and help us to overcome our fears?   Before I go into our study, I talk about the need for a spiritual regimen (or scheduled spiritual disciplines) in the face of devious, ever-changing enemy attacks.  I also talk about the various ways the enemy seeks to steal our precious time away from what's most important.   Listen to the podcast to learn more!RESOURCESI drew information on Emperor Domitian for this podcast episode from the below articles. Disclaimer:  In regards to these sources, I only recommend the information from these articles.Article:  The Temple of DomitianArticle:  The Emperor DomitianREFLECTION QUESTIONS1.  What are some of the ways the enemy has stolen away your time in lesser pursuits?  How does the enemy hook you in those pursuits?   What can you do to "redeem the time" in those particular areas?  Remember:  the greatest enemy of the best can be the good.2.  Do you practice any spiritual disciplines?  Do you have a schedule for them or do you do them when you find the time?   If the latter, how can putting those spiritual disciplines in your schedule not only ensure that you'll do them, but improve your spiritual life?3.  Do you believe Jesus is in the midst of your fellowship with other Christians?  In the midst of your church?  How would having this conscious awareness of His presence change the way you interact with other believers?  How can you encourage fellow believers or your church with this revelation?4.  Who or what are the "Caesars" of our day?  They could be social media corporations, globalist entities, powerful people, politicians, etc.  Do they see themselves as "gods" in what they attempt to do and say?   In the power and control they try to exert over mankind?  5.  Do you agree with the statement that a greater fear can drive out a lesser fear?  Why or why not?  How will you make God more your "fear" and your "dread," so he can then become a sanctuary?ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Read the above articles on Emperor Domitian and the Temple of Domitian.  4.  Do a study on the phrases describing Jesus Christ in Revelation 1:13-16.  Use the Blue Letter Bible App or some other Bible study tool to find the cross-references for these phrases.     5.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 21: How Can Your Church be a Burning Lampstand? (1:11-12)
17-07-2022
Revelation 21: How Can Your Church be a Burning Lampstand? (1:11-12)
Today I talk about what it means to see into situations and people prophetically, the way God would.  Jesus asks John to write down what he sees in a book and, then, send it to the seven churches.  We explore what that word "see" means in our study verse. To prophetically see is a multilevel process.  We look at examples in the Bible to illustrate this point.    We also talk about the general context surrounding the the seven churches.  What were some of Jesus' possible reasons for sending this "book" to the seven churches?   How may those reasons apply to the churches throughout history, and in our modern-day churches today?  In our target passage, God used the symbolism of lampstands to portray the churches.   What may have been the characteristics of these lampstands?  (We also look into the law of first mention to find out more information about the significance of these lampstands to God and to the house of worship.)  How did these lampstands operate in order to give light to their surrounding areas?  And why is this important for the churches to understand? We explore the answers to these questions and more in today's podcast!RESOURCESRead the blog post Learn the Lesson of the Almond TreeDisclaimer:  In regards to this source, I only recommend the information from this article.REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.  Do you find yourself getting stuck in seeing people and situations from a worldly point of view and from a mere outward appearance?  If so, in what ways can you work to get beyond this surface way of seeing to go deeper and see with understanding?    2.  We talked about the comfort and assurance that comes from knowing the "end of the story."   When you feel anxious about the way things are going and the escalating wickedness happening in the world, what verses/passages could you meditate on to deeply root God's narrative of the "end of the story" in your mind, heart, and spirit.  3.  We talked about how the people of God were meant to bring the "oil" into the house of God to fill the lamp, so that the fire could burn continually.  In what ways can you serve the house of God to contribute this oil?Reflect on how oil is produced in an oil press.  What would that mean for each of us individually and corporately?4.  Why do you think the original golden lampstand in the tabernacle of the wilderness was decorated like unto an almond tree and almond branches?   If you're interested, do a little bit more research on the subject and see what God will show you.  (Read the article above on the significance of almond trees and branches to the nation of Israel.)ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Do a topical study of "lampstands"in both the old and new testaments, using a concordance or the Blue Letter Bible app.  4.   Pray and ask God for the ability to see others with His eyes and His heart!5.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 20: Being on God's Timetable: Saturday or Sunday Sabbath? Why it Matters! (1:10)

Revelation 20: Being on God's Timetable: Saturday or Sunday Sabbath? Why it Matters! (1:10)
Today I talk about the importance of keeping on track with God's timing, through our discussion of the phrase "on the Lord's day." As we know, it's so important to be on God's calendar and schedule.  Have you ever missed an important appointment, because you got your dates mixed up?  How did that feel?  Similarly, when we're not in sync with God's schedule, we may miss His divine appointments and opportunities to be a witness to others.   In Revelation 1:10, John says that he received his divine vision "on the Lord's day."People have been known to use this verse and a few others as a justification to worship and take our day of rest on Sunday rather than on Saturday, or the original Sabbath.   I explore whether or not worshiping on Sunday is a biblical practice.   This topic is important and relevant to all believers, because the answer we discover will help us to synchronize our watches with God, so to speak, in order to become more aligned with His schedule.    If it ends up not being biblical, then what shall we do to return to the original design and intention of God?Listen to the podcast to learn more!RESOURCESArticle:  Who Changed the Day of Worship From Saturday to Sunday?  Why?  Disclaimer:  In regards to this source, I only recommend the information from this article.Read A Woman Rides the Beast by Dave Hunt.   Or watch Youtube videos where certain book chapters are read. REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   As believers, we say God's timing is perfect.  If that's the case, then why aren't we more concerned about taking the Sabbath on Saturday? Was the Sabbath intended for all mankind, or was it only for the Jewish people?  Why or why not?2.  What does it mean for God to sanctify and bless the Sabbath day?   After listening to this episode, do you agree with what was shared?   Why or why not?  3.   How will honoring the Sabbath day on Saturday  help you get more aligned with God's timetables and rhythms?  More aligned with the Jews and our Messianic Jewish brother and sisters?4.  In this episode, we talked about how Emperor Constantine and the Catholic Church were instrumental in changing our worship and rest time from Saturday to Sunday.  Did a mere man and the Catholic Church have the authority to make this change?  If not, then what can you do to get back to God's schedule?  How can we influence the Church to get back to God's original design for the Sabbath day rest?ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  If you don't have a day of rest, take steps to schedule one and trust God to make up the difference for you, in work hours, money made, etc.   4.  If you'd like to honor the Sabbath on its original day, then rearrange your schedule, so that you can open up your Saturdays for rest and time spent with God.   (Keep in mind, the Jewish Sabbath is from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday.)5.  Read the article above on how our original Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday.  6.  Research the history of the Catholic Church by looking into Dave Hunt's book:  A Woman Rides the Beast.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast

Revelation 19: John "in the Spirit": Going Deeper into the Things of the Spirit! (1:10)
Today I will talk about what it meant for John to be "in the Spirit."  What characterized his experiences in the Spirit?  What are the implications for us?  What could we hope to experience, while "in the Spirit?"We talk a lot about the Spirit's ministry and how to go deeper into the things of the Spirit.  You don't want to miss this episode, because it's relevant for all of us, not only for the future, but in how we live our lives today.Whenever I share podcast episodes that focus on the Holy Spirit, there's an unction that comes upon me, a passion to see more of the Spirit's ministry in our own individual lives, in the church at large, and throughout the world.   I sense the Holy Spirit wants to find those willing vessels who want to be a dwelling place for Him.  He longs to be released to do the work that He alone can do in us and through us! Before, I go into the main part of my teaching, I share a pastoral encouragement, and an exhortation about understanding and accepting our unique differences in the body of Christ, so that we can embrace one another's gifts and how they complement our own.   We need both the Holy Spirit and one another!Listen to the podcast to learn more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   Have you ever done a topical study on a particular word or subject in the Bible?  If there was one subject you'd like to learn more about, what is it?  (Carve out some time in your schedule, and make a plan to study this subject.)2.  What have you learned from today's episode about what it means to be "in the Spirit?"  Do you agree or disagree?  Why or why not?3.   Do you have a hunger for more of the Holy Spirit in your life?  If so, how will you get deeper into the things of the Spirit?  If not, why not?  4.  Do you have a fear about surrendering control to the Holy Spirit?  In other words, having "waters to swim in," per our discussion in the podcast episode.  What will you do to work through those fears and anxious thoughts? ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Do a study of Holy Spirit in the New Testament.  Get a concordance or use the search function in the Blue Letter Bible App.  You can look up the word "spirit" and narrow the search down to only the New Testament.  Take note of the phrases used, the prepositions, the contexts of the verses/passages, and what they're all saying about the different aspects of the Holy Spirit's ministry.    4.  In addition to #3, do another topical study on a different subject, where you trace the word through the Old Testament, New Testament, or both.  5.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 18: John on Patmos: Where God's Revelation Meets our Barrenness! (1:9)

Revelation 18: John on Patmos: Where God's Revelation Meets our Barrenness! (1:9)
Today I will talk about issues related to the significance of John being on the island of Patmos.  What lessons can we learn from how God encountered him in this most unlikely of places? And what parallels to John's example can we discover in our own lives?  There may be more than you'd expect.    If you've ever been in a barren place or a wilderness season in your life, I think you'll definitely be able to relate to today's episode.  For all of God's vast transcendence, He seems to work in some predictable ways:   If you're faithfully walking with God and haven't been in a wilderness season, no doubt you will be in the future.  We can learn from John and others how to successfully walk through these God-appointed seasons of our lives. Before I dive into more of the Revelation study, I share the latest discoveries coming out of the Ulvade mass shooting case.  What's been uncovered over the past couple of weeks?   One of the most common comments I've read has been... the more that's revealed, the worse it gets.   Will the people of Ulvade ever truly know what took place on that day, and, more importantly, will they ever get justice for the precious lives that were lost?I've made a big deal out of this case, because I never want to see anything like this happen ever again!   As believers, we can pray for the hidden things to be revealed, and for justice to be brought to this situation.  (Luke 18) Listen to the podcast to learn more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.  In reference to the Ulvade case:  do you believe that "the court of public opinion" can make a difference, not only this situation, but as a  way to deter future "police inaction and delay" from occurring?   Why or why not?2.  How can you pray effectively for God to bring justice to the Ulvade case?3.  Have you ever been through a long, dry, barren season?  Looking back, maybe God had led you into the wilderness.  What lessons, if any, did you learn during that time?  Did God encounter you with a new revelation of Himself?  Maybe you're currently in that season, like I am.  In what ways are you seeking to deepen your root system, so as to tap into the "streams of living water?"In what ways have you been tempted to "check out?"  What can you do to fortify your spirit in order to stay connected with Jesus and "remain in the vine?"  As we learned in the podcast episode today, it's possible to continue to bear fruit in these dry wilderness seasons.   ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Do a study of people who have encountered God in the wilderness!  Some questions you may want to ask yourself:  How did God speak to them?  What did God say?  How did He prepare those people for their future ministry?  Etc.  People we mentioned:  the Israelites, John the Baptist, Moses.  Others:  David4.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 17: Protection and Endurance for the Times Ahead in the Kingdom and Patience of Jesus Christ! (1:9)

Revelation 17: Protection and Endurance for the Times Ahead in the Kingdom and Patience of Jesus Christ! (1:9)
Today we return to our study in the book of Revelation.  Last time we were together, we had spoken about how tribulation is foundational to a believer's life, and that John was our brother and companion in tribulation.   In other words, he is with us "in the trenches."We travel further into Revelation 1:9 to talk about what it means to be "in the kingdom" and "in the patience of Jesus Christ."   Through John, the Holy Spirit chose to share these particular truths with us, because He knew we would need them for the journey ahead.  What does it mean to be "in the kingdom?"  Does that afford us special protections?   I think this discussion will bring great peace, assurance, and comfort to you, knowing you are under Jesus' kingship, and, therefore, His jurisdiction.  We also talk about something we all desperately need, but nobody likes to pray for (wink, wink) ... patience!  I thank God that it's Jesus' patience and not mine!  How and why does God seek to cultivate this patience in our lives?  Why will it be necessary to endure until the end?  And, how can we partner with God to become strengthened in our faith through exercising the patience of Jesus Christ? These issues that touch our lives both now and into the future!  We want to pay attention to every revelation, forewarning, and advantage that God wants to give us from the book of Revelation, so as to become ready for whatever comes.   If you're longing for the security that only God can bring, and the endurance to make it through wilderness of future trials, listen to the podcast to learn more!RESOURCESAs mentioned in this podcast episode, below are previous episodes that may be of interest to you and help you in your journey.  1.  Here are the three episodes related to the pre-tribulation rapture discussion, where I discuss whether the Bible speaks of a pre-tribulation rapture or a rapture at a later time.  Revelation 14: Will there be a Pre-Tribulation Rapture or Will Believers Have to Go through Tribulation? (1:9)Revelation 15: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 1)Revelation 16: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 2)2.  Here's the episode, where I discuss Jesus as the good shepherd over our lives.  It fits in nicely with what it means to be in Christ's kingdom, under His rule and reign.  Please listen if you'd like to learn more about and meditate on Jesus' continual and unsurpassed care for your life.  Revelation 5: Understanding how the Good Shepherd and the Holy Spirit Help Us in the End Times! Critical Thinking, Wisdom, and Discernment in the Ulvade Case and Living in Our Times!

Critical Thinking, Wisdom, and Discernment in the Ulvade Case and Living in Our Times!
Today I felt led to talk about a variety of subjects, the major thing being the latest revelations coming out of the Ulvade mass shooting situation.   (I'll most likely return to my continuing Bible study in the book of Revelation next week.)The Chief of Police of the School District, who had previously not cooperated with the investigation, finally breaks his silence. What did he say?  Does what he said answer the questions about what had happened that day, and why the police delayed such an awful long time, leaving 19 children and 2 teachers dead? Doing a measure of research into this situation, I've read articles and watched news media, trying to find the thread of the story. Towards the end of the podcast episode, I share what I've discovered and my analysis of the situation, if you're interested.   I think I ask a lot of the questions others may also be asking about his testimony, whether it adds up, and if it makes sense given how things unfolded that day.   Before I go heavy into that situation,  I talk about other issues, such as the proliferation of smart meters and cell phone towers, the damage they can do to human beings, and what if anything can we do about it. In a previous podcast episode, I shared about my "smart meter" situation at my house.  Today I continue that story by sharing the drastic measure I took to solve the problem.   If you're aware of the dangers of EMF radiation, then maybe you'll resonate with what I've done and we can compare notes.  If you're still unaware of such dangers, I hope you'll take the time to listen and seek to understand why I took such a drastic step, if only to lessen the damage done by smart meters.     I also talk about different ways we can cut costs and save money in the midst of this current rising inflation. In the midst of this episode, I also share some great recommendations on family-friendly, inspirational, and informative shows and documentaries you can watch, if you're needing a change from your usual entertainment fare.   Through it all, I point out various ways where we can depend upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit, along with learning how to be critical thinkers of the culture, the ways of our society, the media, what we're being told, and a host of other things.Listen to the podcast to learn more!RESOURCES1.   Dangers of EMF Radiation Webinar--Here's a link where you can sign up for a webinar to learn more about the dangers of smart meters, cell towers, cell phones, etc.  I'd highly recommend watching this webinar, or something like it, so you can be informed and learn how to mitigate the dangers. 2.  Watch Full Signal Documentary--You can watch this documentary in various places.  I checked it out of the library.  The documentary itself came out on December 1, 2009.  The DVD I watched came out in 2010. Either way, people were sounding the alarm back then on the dangers of radiation coming from cell towers and cell phones.   If it was bad back then, think of what it is now. Will there be Justice for the Ulvade Mass Shooting Victims?

Will there be Justice for the Ulvade Mass Shooting Victims?
Today I'm going to do something different.  I had 18 podcast minutes left in my allotted time for the month, and I felt led to focus on the subject of the Ulvade Mass Shooting incident.  The victims of this shooting are vast and hurting.   They aren't only the ones murdered that day--two teachers, and nineteen children--but the families that have been left behind, who are grieving and angry.  They're demanding answers, and, yes, justice and accountability.  QUESTIONS THAT HAVE YET TO BE ANSWEREDI explore some of those questions that have been asked, but have yet to be answered to any satisfaction.  Why was the standard protocol for dealing with an active shooter not followed?  This protocol has been in place since the Columbine shooting in 1999.  The Chief of Police, who was in command, had gone through two rounds of active shooter training, where he was trained to engage the shooter, until he was either dead or taken into custody.  Did he have a compelling enough reason not to follow the standard protocol?  If so, what is his full explanation? Why did the police delay for so long to breach the door and engage the shooter? Why was there an unlocked door for the shooter to enter the building?   A door that's supposed to automatically lock when shut didn't lock that day.  Why not?And why has the police chief stopped cooperating with the investigation?By all accounts, this incident would cause any thinking person to wonder what was going on with the police chief and the police.  This is a very difficult question to ask:Why did they make it easy for the gunman to kill as many people as possible?  THEOLOGY OF CONFRONTING AND EXPOSING THE DEEDS OF DARKNESSBefore I go into those things, I give a brief theology about what it means to expose darkness, and why believers need to do it.  We're here to be salt and light.  Salt wars against corruption and decay and light exposes darkness.   We're also people who are to cry out night and day to God for justice.  In other words, we don't turn "a blind eye," but we actively seek justice for those who have been victimized, especially the widow and the orphan.  I also speak about what it means to be a spiritual person who discerns the events of the day from a spiritual perspective, instead of an earthly one.  In the midst of false narratives, contradicting narratives, propaganda, and cover-ups, we need to be able to see from a different perspective and a different source, in addition to our five senses.  Listen to the podcast to learn more!Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 16: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 2)
29-05-2022
Revelation 16: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 2)
In today's episode, we continue to establish a Biblical mindset for the rapture by looking deeply at one significant passage.  In his second letter to the Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul made it very clear that TWO things need to happen FIRST, before the rapture can take place!  We explore in detail what those two things are and their significance as signposts of the End Times.   I look into this very clearly written passage and break down what it means.  I believe today's study will give every listener MORE CLARITY as to the who, what, when, how, and why of the rapture. Later on, when we discuss the Antichrist, or "man of lawlessness," who will soon come on the scene,  it's, then, I share my thoughts about the SCHOOL SHOOTING IN ULVADE, TEXAS.   As a related topic, I talk about one component of lawlessness that people often overlook.  This one thing actually enables lawlessness, present in every strata of society, to grow in the land,  This dynamic of lawlessness has implications for us all, especially parents raising children, and anyone who works with young people.   Understanding what that dynamic is will help us to not only identify it, but to fight against it, on behalf of ourselves and our loved ones.  There's never been a more urgent time in our society to do so!  [If you didn't listen to last week's episode, part 1 of this two-part topic, please do.  Please look for that episode's link under RESOURCES further down this page.] Listen to find out more!RESOURCESPrevious Episode:  Revelation 15:  Pre-Tribulation Rapture:  Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking?  (Part 1)REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   Did listening to this podcast episode give you more clarity as to when the rapture will take place?  Why or why not?  Clarity can give us confidence, where we can trust that God's in control and we'll have the wisdom to prepare for that time. 2.  Have you ever thought of a sign being like a road sign or sign post, marking where you're at on the road and  direction to take?   Does this give you confidence for the future?  That you'll recognize the signs when they come?3.  The Apostle Paul joined the falling away (or the apostasy) with the revelation of the man of sin.  How are these two things related?  Does one help influence the other?  And, if so, how?4.  With so many clear passages stating the details and timing indicators of the rapture, why do you think people overlook, step over, or choose to see something else in those passages? How does our "flesh" play a part in what we choose to believe and reject as the truth, despite the evidence that may confront us from the clear statements of the Bible?ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Look up the Scripture passages shared in this episode.  Do your own personal study of them and meditate upon them.4.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc. Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 15: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 1)

Revelation 15: Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Biblical Mindset or Wishful Thinking? (Part 1)
In today's episode, we explore whether or not there's Biblical evidence for a pre-tribulation rapture?  If not, why not?     To make absolutely clear, I do believe the Bible speaks of a rapture of the Church! We look carefully at the well-known rapture passages, along with companion passages that may give us more insight into this mysterious event.   Did God write about the rapture in the Old Testament through a "type and shadow" event?  If so, which story, and what interpretive keys does it hold?Today we attempt to look at the whole counsel of God to find important answers, especially the crux of the controversy:  WHEN will the rapture take place?Believe it or not, this subject is very relevant and important to your life, both now and into the future.  What you believe about the timing of the rapture will influence how you live your life, what you emphasize, and how you will either prepare or not prepare for the future?  That's why every Christian needs to investigate this matter and come to a Biblical conclusion. [If you didn't listen to last week's episode, please do.  Even though I didn't intend it to be, it serves as a foundation for this discussion.   Please look for that episode's link under RESOURCES further down this page.]   Listen to find out more!RESOURCES Previous Episode:  Revelation 14: Will there be a Pre-Tribulation Rapture or Will Believers Have to Go through Tribulation? (1:9)REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   In this episode, we looked deeply into four clear passages about the rapture, with their contexts, common elements, and the timing indicators.  All the passages spoke a similar message from their face value reading.  Why is it important to take that seriously?   It means there's more than one witness.   The plain reading of these passages speak something other than a pre-tribulation rapture. Consider which provides the more powerful argument:  Explicitly stated versus implicitly stated or even not clearly stated?    More than one passage or verse saying the same thing on a topic versus a lack of consistency in verses that harmonize on the same topic.  2.   What issues do you think contribute to the push for a belief in the pre-tribulation rapture?3.  If you listened to this episode, do you believe that the pre-tribulation is Biblical?  Why or why not? If it isn't true, then how can this viewpoint be damaging to believers?   Please note:  Any false doctrine, no matter what it is, damages believers.4.  Examine your own beliefs on the timing of the rapture.  Where did you learn these beliefs.  If they're not Biblical, then how will you systematically replace them? ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Look up the Scripture passages shared in this episode.  Do your own personal study of them and meditate upon them. 4.  Start preparing for the days ahead:  spiritually, mentally, physically, domestically, relationally, etc.  Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast

Revelation 14: Will there be a Pre-Tribulation Rapture or Will Believers Have to Go through Tribulation? (1:9)
In today's episode, we answer the important question:  Are Christians meant to go through the tribulation? Those who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture would say "No!"  Why?  It's because we are not meant for God's wrath.  Though this is true, there's evidence in the Bible that going through tribulation is a part of the Christian life.  God uses it to strengthen and purify us.  He also uses it to test the genuineness of our faith!   When John speaks about being our "brother and companion," he's letting us know he's with us in the trenches.     We explore the word "tribulation" in Greek and from different angles to discover the ways we can endure through the hard times to come!We all need to develop a right theology of suffering.   If we don't understand what God says in His Word about the topic, instead of being prepared, we can become disillusioned, even offended.  Listen to find out more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   What does it mean to "arm yourself with the mind of Christ?"  You can have the mind of Christ for many areas, but the context in this passage here is suffering. Paul writes about it in warfare terms.  Why is it important  to defend this way of thinking? Especially in our day and time? What passages can you meditate upon in order to embrace God's view of suffering?  2.   We looked at Matthew 13:21 in the parable of the soils.  This is the person who received the word with joy, but because he had no root in himself, he (stumbles/is offended/falls away). Why is this an issue in Christendom today?  What factors can contribute to believers being set up for a fall?  What does it mean to develop a root within oneself?  This is a very serious question, one which demands an answer.   Pray into this topic.  What steps will you take to develop a well-established root system? ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Look up the Scripture passages shared in this episode.  Do your own personal study of them and meditate upon them.4.  Begin an action plan to study the End Time passages in the Bible!     5.   Do a  topical word study on tribulation and  suffering to understand what God says about these two subjects.Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast

Revelation 13: John, Our Brother and Companion: Finding Our Deepest Friendships in End-Time Foxholes! (1:8-9)
In today's episode, we mostly focus on what it means to be "a friend that sticks closer than a brother."  (Proverbs 18:24)When John speaks about being our "brother and companion," he's letting us know he's with us in the trenches.    He knows us, understands us, and, therefore, speaks to us from a place of empathy and identification.   John knows what it means to suffer for Christ, so he speaks with conviction and sensitivity about being a martyr, having to endure hardship, and persevering until the end.  For him, all these things are personal.  Therefore, the revelation of Jesus Christ couldn't have come from a more effective messenger.  The message is that much more effective when the messenger has lived the message! As we learn from John's example and look into key words in the Greek, we discover what it means to be a faithful friend others can count on, especially in the hard times of life. Listen to find out more!RESOURCESArticle:  In the Trenches-- A Foxhole Analogy by Steve Davie This article was mentioned in the podcast.  He draws from his military experience to show the parallels between being soldiers in a foxhole together and being effective teammates.Disclaimer:  I don't know his spiritual background or if he's a Christian.  I also don't know about any of his other writings.  I only refer to this one.     REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   What does it mean for you to have a "foxhole friend?"   What does it mean for you to be a "foxhole friend?"  Reflect on how you can become that person for others and pray that God would bring that type of friend into your own life.A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.  (Proverbs 17:17) ...there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.  (Proverbs 18:24) 2.   Consider the view of relationships in our society and how it falls far short of what God desires for our lives, when he called us to be baptized by one Spirit into one body.   When the Bible speaks about our relationships, it uses very intimate terms:  knit together, joined, unified as the Father and Son are unified, one new man, etc.  Meditate on the value and intimacy God intended for the relationships among believers.  Pray for the faith and understanding to live out a new level of relationship in Christ.   3.  Take an inventory.  What's keeping you from having deeper and closer friendships with other brothers and sisters in Christ?  What can you do to get beyond those limited beliefs, fears, struggles, and barriers?    ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Look up the Scripture passages that were shared in this episode one by one.  Do your own personal study of them and meditate upon them.4.  Begin an action plan to study the End Time passages in the Bible!     5.  Do a topical Bible study on the "one another" verses in the Bible.  How are we to care for and love one another?6.  Read the Steve Davie article above:  In the Trenches-- A Foxhole Analogy.  Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast
Revelation 12: Why Did Jesus Have to Be Both God and Man to Save the World and Humanity? (1:8)

Revelation 12: Why Did Jesus Have to Be Both God and Man to Save the World and Humanity? (1:8)
In today's episode, we focus on the divinity of Jesus Christ.   We look at how the Bible points to Jesus' deity, along with Jesus' own declarations about Himself. Before we get into the heart of the teaching, I share another little tidbit about myself and, then, the dangers of EMF radiation, coming from smart meters and other electronic devices.  Jesus had to be both God and man to win back everything mankind had lost back in the Garden of Eden: their dominion authority and the relationship they once enjoyed with God.    True to this series, this episode also helps us to understand more of Jesus' Personhood in a deeper way, which is so important as we head closer and closer to the End Times and the soon return of Jesus Christ.  Jesus once asked His disciples one of the most important question posed to mankind:  “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”The way we answer this question can either put us on the right path or lead us down the wrong path.  Therefore, we need to make sure of how to answer this question.   We need to know Him.  Listen to find out more!RESOURCESArticle:  How Dangerous is your Smart Meter?REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   Reflect on one or the other of the sides of Jesus' Personhood.  What if He were only God, but not man?  What if He were only man, but not God?  In your own words, why did He have to be both God and man.  Did you agree with what was shared in today's podcast episode?  Why or why not?2.  Why is Jesus' question below so important, especially in the times we're living in right now? "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"Who do you say that Jesus is?3.   In today's episode, we saw another example of how revelation about Jesus in the New Testament was concealed in the Old Testament.  Jesus' divinity and humanity were revealed in a particular verse in the Song of Solomon:  "My beloved is radiant and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand."    (Song of Solomon 5:10)  Take some time to meditate on this verse.   Read the description the Shulamite gives of her beloved in the verses following.  Allegorically, this is a picture of Jesus.   What does this verse/passage make you think about Jesus? What's so wonderful is that there's a wealth of information about Jesus in the Old Testament!  But, we have to search for it in order to find it.  ACTION STEPS 1. 5.  Do a topical Bible study on both the divinity and the humanity of Jesus Christ!  Meditate on the glory and mystery of what it means for Jesus Christ to be the God-Man, unique in all the universe.  Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast

Revelation 11: Jesus' End-Time Family Reunion: All Israel Shall Be Saved! (1:7)
In today's episode, we talk about the response of the Jews to the return of Jesus Christ.  The Bible states that when the Jews look on the One whom they have pierced, they will mourn for Him, like a firstborn son. What does all that entail?  Do you know how Jesus feels about the Jewish people? Why are Jerusalem and the Jewish people so central to End Time events? What is God's purpose and plan for the Jews in the End Times and throughout eternity? What does it mean for "all Israel to be saved?"  And what Old Testament story holds some interpretive keys to this mystery of the Jewish people and their ultimate reunion with their brother Messiah? We will answer questions like these in this podcast episode.  If you've ever wondered why we should have a "heart for the Jews," or if you've ever wanted to cultivate a heart for the Jews, this episode is for you!  Listen to find out more!RESOURCES: (Past episodes where I talk about the Chosen TV Series)Could The Chosen TV Series Be Veering Off Course? Is the Chosen TV Series Setting People Up for the One World ReligionREFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   John makes reference to a couple of Old Testament verses in Revelation 1:7.    Why is it important to see the "threads of connection" between the Old Testament and the New Testament?   Why did John use those reference verses?  What was he communicating about Jesus' return? Special tip:  We may think we know any given reference, and, therefore, forgo investigation, but going back to search it out often yields so much more information than we'd expect.   2.  How does the story of Joseph help us to understand End Time events more clearly?  Reflect on how Jesus always spoke in parables, when He walked the Earth.  Both in and beyond Joseph's story, consider how Bible narrative can confirm, help interpret, and even reveal further clues as to the prophetic Scriptures.  How many other Bible stories have these interpretive keys??  Pray for eyes to see, but also be on the lookout for what God may show you.  3.   What steps can you take to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people?   What we practice now, we'll more easily be able to do later on under pressure.  (Consider Matthew 25:31-46)4.  How can knowing and understanding Jesus's heart for the Jews help you have more compassion for the Jewish people?   Pray that God would give you His heart for the Jewish people!5.  Even though "all Israel shall be saved" someday, there are many Jews perishing without Christ today.  Pray for the salvation of the Jews, that they'd come to see their Messiah for Who He is now!ACTION STEPS1.  Slowly review and meditate upon what was shared in this podcast episode.   2.  Subscribe and share this podcast with others who may be interested.3.  Look up the Scripture passages that were shared in this episode one by one.  Do your own personal study of them and meditate upon them.4.   Begin an action plan to study the End Time passages in the Bible!   .   5.  Read and do a Bible study on the story of Joseph, in view of the End Times and what was shared in this episode.  (Genesis 37-50)  Main Website:  http://thebiblemind.comBlog at http://thebiblemind.com/blogPodcast at http://thebiblemind.com/podcast

Revelation 10: What Will it Look Like to Rule and Reign with Christ Forever? (1:5-6)
Today, I share how when Jesus comes back, we will rule and reign with him as kings and priests.  I explain what that means to have a leadership role in his kingdom to come! We'll talk about Jesus as an absolute ruler and how His kingship will differ from those who became earthly kings and dictators throughout history.  Before I dive into our message, I talk about the rare occurrence of Good Friday landing on the same day as Passover for the Jews.  It's only happened three times in this century so far, which makes this year very special.   That leads us into a little discussion about church history and how the dates and times were changed, not by God or the early church leaders, but by a Roman emperor, seeking to divide Christianity from its Jewish roots.  Listen to find out more!REFLECTION QUESTIONS1.   Consider how the Jews and Gentiles have been separated, due to the changing of days and times.   How powerful is it for Good Friday and Passover to happen at the same time?    What was God's original intention for the commemoration of Passover for the Jews?  I, for one, seek to celebrate Passover on Passover in future years.  If you resonate with this idea, then what will you do in the future to make this happen in your life and the life of your family? How could we be a witness to the Jews, by honoring the crucifixion of Christ, when it actually occurred, during Passover of the year of His death? How does celebrating Good Friday on a different day than Passover muffle God's witness to the Jews?2.  Did this episode change your view of eternity and what we'll be doing in the age to come?  If so, how did your thinking change?  Also, how will you prepare for this eternity?3.  Reflect on how our lives and  daily choices really do make a difference for eternity.  How will you keep this reality at the forefront of your mind?  What quotes and/or verses can you put up on your walls or tape to your bathroom mirror to continually remind you of this truth? What changes will you make in your activities and how you spend your time, so as to live a life of deeper wisdom from an eternal perspective?
